Lovell Consulting are pleased to announce the shortlist for the 2016 Lovell Consulting Art Prize. The shortlisted artists are Joonhong Min and Mary Wintour.
Clients and contacts of Lovell Consulting will now determine the winner of the Lovell Consulting Art Prize – voting will close on December 18, 2016. The winner’s artwork will be acquired into the Lovell Consulting art collection. Supporters who pledge to the winner’s work will share sale proceeds with the artist. This has been organised by art:i:curate.

Voters will be invited to attend a cocktail party in East London on February 2, 2017 to meet the artists.
Joonhong Min is a visual artist based in London and Seoul. He holds a MFA in Media Fine Art from the Slade School of Fine Art (2016). Joonhong was awarded the Batsford Prize, The Cass Art Islington, London (2016), Henry Tonks Prize, The Slade School of Fine Art (2016) and Jerwood Drawing Prize, London (2015). Recent exhibitions include ‘Urban Methodology’ solo show, The Consulate of South Korea Project Space, Milan, Italy (2016) and Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize Shortlist Show, Ashurst LLP, London (2016).
Mary Wintour holds a BA in Painting and Printmaking from the Glasgow School of Art (2010) and is currently pursuing a MFA at the Slade School of Fine Art, London. Mary was awarded the Windsor & Newton ‘A years sponsorship’ (2013-14) and shortlisted for the SOLO Award (2015 and 2014), the Premio-Combat Prize (2014), the Griffin Art Prize (2013) and the Title Art Prize (2013). Recent exhibitions include ‘Either Those Curtains’, FOLD Gallery, London (2016) and ‘The Other Side’, Chelsea Art’s Club, London (2015).
About the Lovell Consulting Art Prize
Lovell Consulting Art Prize aims to foster young talent who address issues prevalent in the contemporary, global landscape. The competition combines art professionals’ selection with public voting on art:i:curate. Clients and contacts are invited to participate in voting for the artists shortlisted by art:i:curate and Lovell Consulting. Those artists are invited to participate in a group show announcing the winner.
