We work alongside a large number of lawyers and accountants to provide capital allowances advice for their clients. We provide a wide range of capital allowances services from due diligence to contract wording for sale and purchase contracts. We can either subcontract or provide a direct service.
We recently provided due diligence for a large law firm and their developer client. The developer was looking to purchase a large site for a housing development. The works would involve a large quantum of land remediation. We advised that the enabling works should be conducted through a UK company to enable the client to benefit from land remediation relief (150% wda). They had initially intended to complete the works through a partnership which would have meant they would have missed out on this generous form of relief. This initial advice provided the client with £9m of additional tax relief.
